Weight on shoulders

Ok, now that time is up to a week, I still have "the world" of things that I think would have belonged in the diss. You can't imagine how many little notes and pages full of notes I have, old ideas, new ideas, quotes, etc. Eduardo is right, it might be a temptation to think all of that is important. I know, it helped me get where I am now, and what is important now is to tell the story the way I see it today, even if some of that work does not come up. But still, I do have to kind of show how I got to my own opinion. I can't just list the things I read at the end, I have to refer to them within the work, right? The point is, it feels like "the world" on my shoulders. Or at least like a heavy cow.
But let's be realistic. What we have is what we have, this is the situation. It is one week before the deadline. I'll have to do some faking again, for the bibliography!
I will finish the fifth chapter tonight, whatever happens. Tomorrow: finish the fourth one and review the introduction. I have about half of the conclusions, and as I re-read the chapters for correction I will sum them up to complete the conclusions.
Well, anyways. A lot to do, but it's worth it, right? Just one more week and then....!GO Cow GO, you can make it, RUN!

Dear Marcela,

keep going - and keep in mind that you were very proud of your work's result for Pamplona and you will be very proud of your work's reult on June 30th.

You already have achieved a lot of things: you have learned a lot (that's what you wanted) and you are already the absolute expert for your subject. Knobody on this world knows more about it than you do!! Isn't that great!!!

Keep in mind, that also your professors know less about it than you do They will not want to nor be able to check any detail. They want to see whether you are able to work scientifically on your own, find new results and defend them. They are scientists and you are a scientist - just think of them as people who are interested in your scientific results rather than teachers who want to see whether you have done your homework.

Therefore I encourage you to focus more on cnclusons than o the comleteness of chapter I or o reading articles. I am sure you have read enough articles.

Marcela, I wish you a lot of energy to focus all your strength on this work for the time remaining. But I also wish you that you can feel comfortable and safe, confident for the future because yu are in HIS hands.

Halo Marce
A week is so easy to plan, but don´t trust your enthusiasm, write a paper and place it in front of you reminding what to do each and every day of the missing week. Do it please, do not look for surprises.
Even being proud can make you daydream so leave it aside and after you pass the magic date then you can claim anyone who does not mention you should be very proud.
Best effort - best outcome.
I like the cow... Best regards,
tia Beatriz

Marce, animo!

I agree with tia Beatriz, focus on your intro and conclusions, they are probably the most important part of your thesis. I like what she said about your professors being scientists like you and not you doing your homework.

Love,

ANa.
